pretty much everything goes on facebook now, but I figured I would put this here as well
very year I try and see the movies nominated for best picture. I still need to see the blind side, an education, the hurt locker, precious, a serious man and up in the air. Anyone feel like going to the movies?
So, I'm at the point where I want and need to move back home.
Problem? I have a good job I like here and no job back home. That is a problem. I can't move with out a job waiting for me. And I can't get a job, even if places were hiring (which they are not) without living locally. This is a pretty serious problem.
SO, I have decided the best course of action is to make my own job for me when I get back to California. So, It's back to selling T shirts and such online. Done it before, know I can make money at it. Now, It will never become a primary source of income, I'll pretty much always need a "real job"
BUT, the hope is that it can serve as a source of income until I land an actual joby Mcjob back home.
Now, where to live is a whole other mess, but one seemingly insurmountable obstacle at a time
they are talking about layoffs at my work. they haven't mentioned me, but I am worried that with essentially being the person that trains internally I would be one of the first to go.
So what to do about this? Whether it happens or not is completely beyond my control.
What I do if it happens is under my control.
The only reason for me to stay in Las Vegas is because I have a good job that I more or less like, as much as anyone likes work.
remove that, and I see no reason to stay.
I am 90% certain i can collect unemployment if I move back to California. So being broke in one place is basically as good as any other I suppose. I don't want another job in Las Vegas, so staying and looking ofr a job here would just be counter productive.
packing up all my stuff and moving is a big task, but that I can work out. Somehow. I figure I can get a storage unit somewhere and put my stuff in it.
Where to actually live is a whole other challenge. Anyone looking for a roommate that can't pay much, and has a cat??
They promoted / moved me up. Again. I'll know more details in like a week and a half.
Resume flung, fingers crossed
